How exactly does one teach 2 days a week at NLSIU and 4 at JGLS unless you have a private jet?
I do not know about NLUD, but NLSIU did allow it.
What is the pay disparity like? Like, we are getting an average idea that Assistant Professor is 14L CTC but how much do good faculty at Asst/Assoc/Prof level get paid?
You cannot be serious, right? Does NLU D allow this?
This is patently false information. The real salaries have been mentioned above in earlier comments.
Lol, genius. Although, that means a 6 day workweek.
Lol crumbling accommodation in the middle of the dystopian hell scape that is Sonipat. I don’t know how people live there with the air and the water being what it is. Even wild animals know to not live in poison.
but it's not 14lpa, it's 80k for assistant lecturers
In addition, they don't object if you teach elsewhere. I know JGLS people who also teach at the NLUs 4 days a week and at JGLS 2 days a week and draw full salary from both the places.
You don't have to prepare well for class or work much if you are in JGLS. They mark 50% of class at 8/8. So u don't have to check the papers diligently as well. Overall, the work pressure is much much lower than an NLS/NALSAR
18 LPA? Honestly thought it would be more. What is the fuss about then that JGLS pays a lot? Given that it is in the middle of nowhere, I am surprised it has the faculty it has.
What about foreign PhD and postdoc? Their neighbours (Ashoka) seems to require that at Assistant Professor level. Do not see JGLS having many people like that? Is JGLS not worth it for them?
It's 14 ctc, not 14lpa for freshers (assistant lecturer). It's around 10L
