1. Placement and internship-wise, there is virtually no difference between the two places. It has got more to do with the individual student, since both the places will offer similar opportunities. In the last two years, NALSAR students have had better foreign firm placements, before that for a couple of years, NUJS did. However, since the opportunities for vacation scheme and training contracts offered, as well as alum presence in firms domestic or international are more or less comparable, it's really up to you to use those and make your own career.
2. Campus-wise, NALSAR is way bigger, but located in a remote area far away from Hyderabad. The travel to Hyderabad is regular but long and at times, inconvenient. Compared to that, NUJS is smaller, but located in the middle of Kolkata with all necessary amenities. Space crunch because of smaller campus versus everything a phone call/app push away, including restaurants, medical facilities, multiplexes, supermarkets etc. You figure out which one suits you the better. You may even pay a visit to both depending on your resources and then take the final call.
3. You did not ask about faculty/admin, but I would say that NALSAR admin currently has an advantage over NUJS, which will again see a regime change next year. Faculty are more or less comparable, with a few good ones at both the places and bad apples too. Students are given a say in both the places, maybe a little more at NUJS. Peer group will be comparable, though for some reason, I have found that NALSAR students are less inclined to opt for academia for career in general, although there are well-known exceptions.
Can some one please compare nalsar vs Nujs in terms of the factors that I mentioned please ?
Thanks !
