NLUD trolls keep mentioning these metrics, but would go mysteriously silent when asked to reveal what those are. Your superiority is only apparent to you. Nobody outside Dwarka even acknowledges it. As for UPSC, you are speaking in hypotheticals. X could have got jobs had they tried is just the same as Y could have cracked UPSC had they tried.

Oh cut the rationalisation because you’re too insecure to accept NLUD’s superiority. We literally have more international moot, debate and ADR wins than NALSAR despite being a decade younger. And no, UPSC may not be the only metric of superiority but nearly everyone who’s cleared Civils from here had jobs/could have easily got jobs. Your pathetic justification that people did UPSC since law firms jobs were unavailable to NLUD grads is laughable and clearly shows you have no idea about the internal situation at NLUD. Civils is way harder than landing a law firm job. And NLUD is superior on many other metrics, whether an ignoramus like yourself accepts it or not is irrelevant. Places like NLUJ are honestly not even in our league.

Another correction. UPSC performance is not a metric for any NAAC, NIRF or any global rankings. UPSC is just an independent thing. You might as well put in startups founded or Big Boss contestants generated. Fact of the matter is that law like medicine or CA or CS is a professional course. All professionals are judged by their profession. AIIMS is not judged by number of alums who cleared UPSC it is judged on its medicinal capabilities. Typically UPSC is the forte of traditional colleges which do not have NLS or IIM level of Day zero placements or inbred professionalism or drive to work in private sector/profession related to their graduation degree. Since NLUD was a new law school which did not have robust placements in early 2010s it explains its UPSC culture. Wherever their is dearth of placements you will see more and more people opting for government jobs (because that is the only way out). Now with NLU D becoming a better law school "at-par" with NUJS or NLU J (while still not comparable to NLS or NALSAR) we will slowly see a shift to private jobs and more and more legal profession oriented alums rather than upsc alums. With or without that happening UPSC is not a metric to rank law schools in as much as it is not a metric to rank medical schools.

Despite the fact that NLUD graduates have never performed better than those from NLS, NALSAR or NUJS in any direction other than UPSC, though they had the batch size and admin and funding advantage for the last fifteen years. You do you, with or without logic.

As for the NUJS BSc programme, the low rank was only for the first batch that got admitted through CLAT. Even in that case, the BA students hardly have anything to be concerned about. Moreover, CLAT ranks don't determine student performance once they are in the institution. Their own diligence, ability to work hard and application do. There are many NLUD students and grads who performed badly in CLAT. They are still doing fine in life.

They were both almost the same but since NUJS added another 50% extra seats to low ranked science-background CLAT students through the new BSc LLB aim Forensic Science, I think NALSAR skips ahead in terms of student quality now. Personally, I would choose: NLUD>Nalsar>NLS>NUJS>NLUJ>GNLU now. Mostly because NLUD doesn’t have domicile quota and has a small batch size with a good admin.

As someone who is familiar with the students, faculty and admin of both the places, I can advise you to select NALSAR at this stage. The faculty are more or less similar, but NALSAR faculty don't have toxic and petty rivalry and feuds going on between them beyond what's expected in any institution. NALSAR students are at present of much better quality, chiefly because NUJS admin, students and some faculty have collectively destroyed the academic standards of the place over the last three-four years. NALSAR admin is hands down way better, with the current NUJS VC not caring about any academic standard, but busy about appeasing students with easy grades and attendance and his political support with other promises, all the while taking decisions bad for the university.
