This ain't a question simply about whether doing law is worth it given the time and resources you invest, and returns you get which are quite different from career in STEM category. But a question especially related to the times we are living in, where across the world, rule of law has been reduced to a writing on a paper. The world is rife with violations committed by countries against each other and at multiple levels, with international organisations powerless to command establishment of peaceful environment.

Domestically, many countries are observing rise of semi-authoritarianism where governments are using combination of technological progressions and LAW, to muzzle dissent and opposition. LAW has become a tool to execute the unimaginable conspiracies so that a few politicians and corporates continue to enjoy control over the general citizenry. The common citizens are so entangled in their lives and hammered with societal & inflationary pressures that the masses fail to foresee for themselves a purposeful life. They would work a job with a feeling to persist some more time in a world, where commercialism and consumerism are stretching the desires to an unending infinity. And who lives now just to fulfill their needs?

Please think from a perspective of a law student, who would consider all the legal principles that he/she learns to be completely meaningless.
