beige, biscuit or some shade of brown that compliments your skin colour well
black if you are wearing light grey trousers
Basically sober colours. Bright colours can also be formal sometimes but it is better not to experiment until you understand what works
Wearing formal trousers (black) and full-sleeved formal shirts (white) is the safest bet. But maintaining white shirts can be a little tough if you are travelling a lot/using the trains, so it is better to look for cheap white shirts to keep updating them occasionally (white looks good only when new). I change into good shirts after coming to the office or I cover myself before travel. Black trousers or even maybe grey is your safest bet, it doesn't get dirty easily and goes with almost all colours. Indian formals are very comfortable tbh but be careful while taking them because NOT every kurti looks formal. Formals look good when they fit you well so invest in something that compliments you. Don't get small sizes please, looks very awkward around the crotch.
Keep the blazer in your office itself don't carry it around while travelling. Also get a cheap blazer if required (You get it on Amazon for 600-900Rs) if you want it for heavy-duty use, running around etc. and keep a good one for nice fancy events and client meetings. Wear formal shoes while in the office and change into comfy ones when you travel.
