If it keeps this guy deservedly out of office (not only the SBA's but also any other positions and platforms he currently controls), then it's worth it. It's a lot to ask of a first year, but you are definitely not alone in your annoyance at this fifth year. Power to you!

Probably because they did not feel comfortable doing so during the trimester. Besides the SBA polling hasn't even started. This is just to inform the student body about the quality and history of the candidates contesting the elections, which is again a very reasonable thing to do.

Yea, obviously everything is related to thr SBA elections now that your ragger friend may choose to stand. Think beyond this, college is reopening the kid could have very well done this to protect his safety and mental space ( something that the bully loves standing up for)

Hi, sorry for this not being connected to legal news and updates but this is necessary for me to do to let ppl know about what is going down in nls. ▮▮▮, ▮▮▮ year in NLSIU is engaging in threatening and bullying 1st year freshers and nothing is being done about it by the student community. As a first year who came into this college, it was very surprising for me to see my friend get bullied by a 5th year, who later also bragged about it to his friends saying ' inka sir fodd dunga boht zyada bolte hai'. He said that in front of 5 ppl who praised him about it or said nothing. He constantly harasses my friend by calling him all kinds of slurs without any provocation.

He justified it to his friends because he felt that my friend spoke ill to him when he tried to intrefere in a 1st year student meeting. He also told me when i approached him to stop this nonsense that 'you guys will amount to nothing, because you are dumbfucks and dont know anything, and threatened to get us beaten and excluded'. When i still tried talking, his response was 'I know a lot of alums from ▮▮▮, and i will make sure you gusy dont even get an internship'.
I was even more surprised when this person was ▮▮▮ but still his batchmates and 'fan juniors ' stayed stuck to him. It is surprising that ppl in NLS are so morally abhorrent to support a bully and a harasser. How is that even supposed to give victims the confidence to come fwd if ppl stick to a sexual harasser who is consistently forcing the girl to spend time with him for a whole fucking year. textbook harassment and yet nothing being done by the student community. All this drama that he does in the name of ▮▮▮ is so bullshit that his own roommate called him a harasser but still no one does annything to help the freshers getting bullied and intimidated. The only reason to put it up here is that at least thhis might deter him and there is no serious physicial harm that we will fall prey to after all the mental and emotional fear and damage he has created. Plus we wanna be in a campus where we arent scared.
PLus this should also expose how seniors like these use the cover of mental health and inclusivity (▮▮▮ in this bully's case) to cover up their disgusting work
