Someone from NLUD actually got the thing, lol. The fanboys are here to stay.
Zayaan's award of the Rhodes shows that Modi's model of development produces the best results for minorities.
Indeed. Umakanth Varottil, V Niranjan, Rahul Singh are some notable names in the field.
No it shows that minorities can succeed even in Modis Gujarat. Hatim Hussain and before him Samir Rashid Bhat from GNLU.
Not necessarily. You do know that people pursue academics in corporate law too, right?
I know I'll get slapped with the woke label and all but seriously, what's the point of giving a scholarship as prestigious as Rhodes to people ultimately pursuing a career in corporate law? The goal of such people is to earn a lot of money, which isn't wrong by any means but not befitting of Rhodes in my
Looks like you are a fanboy of the Schwarzman finalist. Just accept that the selected candidate was better. Why bring in such petty comparisons?
They have their own awards. They don't slum with the other NLUs. If you haven't got that award, then you are completely incompetent and unqualified to talk about it.
Wrong! GNLU > Harvard > Yale > Oxford > NLS > NALSAR > NLUD > NUJS ....
Bro casually ripped off Prof Mallar and thought we wouldn't notice. Non-NLS student here that too, can you imagine
GNLU's new slogan - One for the Rhodes!

Wishing all the very best to the shortlisted candidates.
The Rhodes Finalist from GNLU wasn't even shortlisted by Schwarzman Scholars while the other other guy who didn't qualify for Rhodes Finals, made it to the Schwarzman Finals. I think both are equally competent and it's just a matter of luck beyond a point. Not to forget, they both knocked out all the toppers of their batch who applied for both but didn't shortlist for either.
Atleast the selected student has real achievements, unlike the other one.
I repeat what I said earlier and please mark my words: NLSIU is still the favourite. They are going all out to end the drought.
Sigh…. Yet another human rights person. When will Rhodes shed its wokeism and reward good corp law candidates? This really needs to stop!
My first reaction: Rhodes may be changing its image as a scholarship programme that favours human rights and socialist causes.
The final shortlist of Top-15 across fields for Rhodes is out. From GNLU (since I am from GNLU), 1 student has made the cut from the pre-final list, while 1 student who is running an ambitious Project Sathi NGO has been knocked out from the race.
