I really don't know why the terrace was locked!! Enlighten me.
Do you know the no. Of students stuck with a bad roommate?
Are you sure you know the condition of each bathroom stall? Or you just know the one for your wing, not even your floor?
FIXES PROMISED, PROBLEMS PERSIST
1. The water we're supposed to drink is a hot mess โ muddy, sometimes with this white gunk, and occasionally stinking. The RO system been busted since uni opened after COVID.
2. Power cuts are a regular thing. Just yesterday, we had hours without any juice.
3. orkers ain't getting the fair deal.
4. Women's hostel has been bone-dry for two days straight. No water for washing, using the bathroom, or even basic hygiene. And when there is water, the pipes act up, especially nasty at 8 am before classes.
4. Washing machines conked out, so we're handwashing clothed during projects and midterms.
5. Drains all clogged, open bins everywhere.
6. Too many pests indoors โ rats, bats, mosquitoes, you name it.
7. Bathrooms and toilets barely ever getting a real clean-up. Those yellow tiles they're all nasty with black mold, making it seriously gross.
8. Wifi been cut off. Speed less than 1mbps. And there's no excuse for that. We've been paying for this service, and it's totally not right to leave us hanging without.
9. Stupid admin won't open the balcony or terrace at night, haven't given us a reason why. Nights are the only time we can actually breathe, but these hostels aren't exactly well-aired or smelling like roses. We feel all boxed in and just plain suffocating at night.
10. Basically, the whole plumbing and electrical setupโshower, faucets, sinks, fans, bulbsโeverything's busted and they've left it that way for way too long without fixing a thing.
11. As for action, the admin straight-up public shamed the plumber and electrician with a public show cause notice, something they'd never pull on any other "higher" staff here. But truth is, these folks need some oversight and the right supplies to get the job done. Public shaming workers. Imagine.
12. Man, they won't let students switch rooms during the year now. Back in the old days, we just had to hang tight until the first of the next month and could make a change. Dealing with bad roommates be causing emotional hell for so many of us. Look like them will only learn when some thing unexpected between hostile peeps happens. Stupidest rule on here.
13. There ain't no real good doc or proper meds for emergencies. They just hand out Dolo 650. Getting sick at night is a nightmare. Too many been falling sick lately.
It's living hell here.
And for those who ain't catching on, I'm not saying the old administration was any better, okay?
