"Old Geezers should drop dead when they are too old to work 70 hours a week." - That's exactly how absurd his comment appears. Senility happens to erode the best of minds, unfortunately.
working and dying are the same thing to you? 70 hours a week is roughly 8-9 hours everyday- out of 24 hours everyday- thats too much? when youre young and youre able and you dont have a family to go take care of its too much to work 8 hours a day?
Mota Bhai ne internet diya toh matlab kuch bhi likhne ka? 8 hours a day makes is 70 hours a week? Where did you learn maths? Putting in 10 hours everyday without taking break seems good to you?
Yes, it's too much. Working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week is a suicidal mission, and can seriously affect your long term mental and social well being. Especially when infy pays 5 lakhs pa c2c!
At 5 LPA one should quit and do something else. Even auto drivers and thela walas make more.
So thats like a 9-5 0 how many hours a week do you want to work? And should they change pay to reflect hours?
Seriously deficiency in your quantitative abilities. Definitely didn't make it to a T1 NLU through CLAT. 70 hour work week is 12 hours a day, because one works 6 days a week.
nat'l pci doubled

avg wage tripled

denial is a river in egypt
Are you assuming travel takes a grand total of 1 minute through the week? It can take up to 4 hours a day in a city like Bangalore (where Infosys is headquartered). So we should be operating with -7 hours of free time then (21 - 28)?
Nahi, he meant office ke basement mein ek sleeping bag daal lo. Ab isse zyada luxury kya do woke kiddie ko
But that work should not be donkey work like A0s or A1s - it should act as a leverage to build a foundation for future income/power
Brother can give a wage which would allow to keep a cook, a help, a good medical insurance or probably a shot which would ensure we never fall sick and I’ll be ready to work 80 hours πŸ₯°
About time that lawyers realized that people in Tech are working equally hard for the money. No, they don't have a better work-life balance.
70 is an amateur number. I am inventing a 24x7x365 cubicle that will have a foldable bed, toilet under the desk and built in mini kitchen. Corporate Slavery FTW !!! LET'S GO !!!!!!!
pls dont give Lalaji ideas, he probably loves this thread as he doesnt understand sarcasm
Easy to sit and give Gyan when you have made your money.
That's the problem with corporate lawyers. Not 70 hours are to be given to your employer. Spend some time in upgrading yourself.

My lit friends (actual litigators and not of a firm's lit team) laugh when they read LI comments.
upgrading to add commas and format sentences?

do your lit friends laugh at the salary threads as well?
We do. It ain't a competition, but if it were, the corp guys wouldn't be close.
Will any of these so called "productive" firms be willing to pay adequate overtime?
This will lead to aggravation of the unemployment crisis. When we have so many unemployed youth they should be employing 2 people for 35 hours each instead of 1 for 70. Split the wages, more people get benefited and the nation also improves overall.
All these people are capitalists who have made their wealth exploiting the young gen. Since they can no longer work 70 hours themselves, they should just die and not consume resources needlessly.
Worrying to see such communist, anti-capitalist dogma among students commuting here. I just hope it's a passing phase that will end when you lot graduate and join the real world.
I've joined the real world way before you did. Did not find any reason to change my views.
So how is that a good system and how does one in good conscience advocate for it?
Will do NARAYANA sir i will work 24 hours also ill sign a contract in blood to be your slave

after all you are the nations pride industrialist SIR
Then he should learn and get educated. Why should others suffer for his ignorance?
