(MOD DO SHORTEN THE QUESTION AS NEEDED, THERE'S UNNECESSARY RANT OUT THERE:3) Though ideologically distinct, but working for a public cause via private sector is a practice area I would love to have a job in. The cause served by law firms does not inspire me, I don't find my life purpose aligning with it and hence does not excite me. While the former area of practice rather seems replete with scope of innovation and growth, besides the inevitable clerical paperwork and red-tapeism. An MPP/MBA may land me in roles of consultant or advisors wherein you work in more than just legal side of things, and in more holistic growth of the system, you are part of. UPSC has been a long term goal, but I wish to dabble into private sector preferably, and possibly permanently work in the same. tl;dr how to carve a career path in the intersection of corporate and social cause right after graduation.
Are you in a T1 NLU? McKinsey, E&Y etc recruit from some of them. Also try interning at places like JPAL/Deloitte/Dalberg.
NLS MPP is fairly good in India, I know someone who graduated from there and enjoyed it (he is working at one of the consultancy firms above that I mentioned).
