I am scheduled with Trilegal as an assessment/call-back intern in the upcoming Nov-Dec break, I will be graduating in 2025. Could someone please explain how PPOs work at Trilegal, any tips will be helpful. Thank you.
1. Be very vocal to your mentor and team if you want a PPO. Being coy gets you nowhere.
2. Gently ask feedback on the bigger assignments(something as simple as “hey was my research on x helpful?”, but time it during a relaxed hour and don’t pester), make sure whatever leaves your desk is reliable, thorough and well formatted. It also ensures that people remember what you worked on. Go the extra mile.
3. Try getting more work from your mentor and seniors within the team.
4. Be sure to get the feedback form filled. Be available on weekends, be responsive and eager (or put on a front if you don’t feel it from the inside, most of all do that).
5. Do not be afraid to ask for more details about the work instead of guessing and wasting effort.
6. Ensure that you make thorough internal records of what you worked on, not just what you sent but also where you looked and how you went about it. It’s good for interview prep which might happen months later.
All the best buddy! And remember, sometimes you can do everything right and there’s just not a vacancy. A PPO doesn’t define your self worth, don’t let it.
