I had received an offer through Campus Placement at a firm in Mumbai. I am a resident of Delhi so I had filled Delhi as my first preference but was allocated Bombay instead. I have been working here since June but feeling homesick and not liking it here. How easy or difficult would it be for me to shift with a low PQE. I am getting a typical T2 retainer and willing to work for the same amount or a little less.
I think your practice area will have a significant bearing on the answer. For litigation/disputes it may be harder since firms are jurisdiction specific. Not sure about transactional practices. I'd suggest you contact a couple of recruiters and take it from there
First see if the Firm can accommodate you in Delhi. These requests are generally taken seriously if you have a good reputation.
If not possible, then start shooting applications to all Firms you have shortlisted. You are an A1. Attrition at your level is generally high. You will find a new position relatively sooner than it takes for people with more experience.
