Please choose an area you like working in. Competition law does hire.
Avoid Capital Markets and Banking, GC is the safest bet for growth in your formative years.
why avoid cap marks? Asking cuz I have internships in CM teams of S&R, SAM and Indus and JSA next year.
SAM and Indus are on a freeze. JSA prefers laterals and does not entertain freshers. S&R is very very very selective on callbacks and PPOs. Switch to B&F and a lot of options open up from a hiring standpoint. Best of luck!
Can someone authenticate the above? Heard about attrition in Indus CM recently.
Have heard just 1-2 people from each batch at Top NLUs intern at S&R, but mostly all of them seem to get a PPO though
But banking ensures that you make make mega bucks in the long run(subject to clientele ofc)... everyone in law firms are here for money then why one shouldn't pick a practise area which is well known to take moreπŸ’°
Do what you love, you'll be a lot happier. Yes hiring may be comparatively less, but there are still vacancies nonetheless. I know this cause I work in a niche field too, and I enjoy my work so much.
Competition will have above decent tier 1 hiring for 2025 batch. Just ensure you apply to tier 1 and not tier 2. There has been mass attrition at one of such places I work and can guarantee you the hiring will be insane.
No, trilegal comp has attrition for a reason. Not that people just choose to leave. they are fired. Why do you want freshers to join this place, if they will leave in a year?
