Name the Rhodes scholar(s) who have done that. I am really curious. And Rhodes has an age limit of 25. Most folks who clear UPSC are above that - average age for IAS is around 28.
Amarjeet Sinha won the Rhodes Scholarship and was selected for the IAS in the same year. He decided to forego the Rhodes, and joined the IAS.

It is what it is.
One is a scholarship to a Masters degree. The other is a job. How are these two even comparable only LI commentators know. Might as well compare a moot with a Training Contract.
LOL, Rhodes isn't even in the same ballpark as UPSC...and I presume we're talking of the CSE over here. The gulf of difference in between the 2 is like scoring an arts seat at DU [Rhodes] and cracking the JEE with a top-rank [UPSC].
Is that why only a handful makes it to the former and a sizable amount to the latter every year?
upsc since competition is quite tough if one is aiming for ias cadre
Impossible to compare, one is based on luck the other is pure intellectual
