My father was Sr. Adv. The fact that a person is designated as Sr Adv means that both bar and bench knows such lawyer v well. So these lawyers starts approaching the Sr Adv for briefings. Considering the money that is involved per appearance, there's no worry of continuously searching for such briefs to maintain cash liquidity. It gets hectic to the point where you start denying the briefs.
1. How does senior advocates gets cases ?
2. Why aren't they allowed to file and meet clients directly?
3. Do they have to develop contacts with other lawyers to get cases ?
4. Do they only argue ? And not anything else?
5. What is counsel practice?
Please help.
T1 corp A1 here, but i've always wondered as well.
