We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I will give you an example. I have seen toppers from NLUs forego offers from S&R, TT&A, ICUL and Trilegal (Read- best paymasters, best work cultures, good seniors, good mentorship, great promotions, equity partnership), for CAM and SAM (Read- Total opposite)
So what I am saying is, students are really unpredictable from HR point of view and rightfully so. You may them an offer an year or two before, and instead of interning mandatorily with them and staying loyal or relaxing at home for the damn last time in your life, they look for other avenues just for the thrill, the "amarchand" name. Which is why you will see CAM and SAM never make you do mandatory internships. They know however bad you treat them, the masocist kids are coming back.
And this is true for everyone. Why will an institution make you a lifetime permanent job offer by placing certain restrictions on you from looking elsewhere. Like isn't that cheating? If you dont like the offer, reject it. Let another guy interested take it. Why waste the other guy's, firms and HRs time?
