I had received an internship offer from S&R too (got placed before I got to it). I had initially been rejected from S&R, and a semester later had gotten an internship. The only change that I had on my CV was publications. So my two cents would be to have a well rounded profile. Also, I am not from a T-10 NLU.

3) CAM - Only contacts; top 5 batch rankers from top NLUs
4) L&L - Only contacts
5) Saraf - Top 10 NLU bias; otherwise contacts
6) Trilegal - used to be transparent; nowadays only contacts
7) IndusLaw - Partner/Client referrals; fairly transparent
8) S&R - Top 10 NLUs (batch rankers with exceptional CVs)
9) TT&A - Complex questionnaire; very transparent
10) AZB - Very transparent (only batch rankers preferred)

Could someone explain the likelihood of securing an internship if I apply in advance next time? Or is it of no use since most people tend to obtain these internship slots through connections?Could you provide a list of other firms that offer internships on a 'first-come' basis?[ i know thats a distant reality anyways any lead or guidance would help me ]
