I had a super senior tell me something once: "Not everyone gets a T1 job and not everyone wants a T1 job". Ever since, I have been very comfortable in my skin, bagged many T2 internships while my friends and batchmates started getting placed in T1s (both through contacts and via campus). Got a T2 job and still on the grind; but the learning curve has been very steep and I am thankful for every opportunity which has come my way. Its a marathon and not a sprint, enjoy the process and you will get wherever destiny has it for you. Best of luck!

Even in the 4th years a lot of people become hostile. Batch toppers are hated and so are people with internships. College life in India is grossly underrated for the politics which the filthy play in groups to suppress individuals. I see this as a very solid reason why most successful people out of India become into cold and less soft on emotions adult. People force you to be an asshole. Do not care of others and keep going my friend. Wish luck

Idk what's wrong with me but I change my entire friend circle in every 3-5 years. It has never been hard for me but this time I am in the final year of my law school and everybody is telling me to bear with my toxic group as they are just temporary people and barely 2-3 months of college life is left. But I feel so suffocated around them. Everyone has become so bitchy lately. There are people in the group who are trying to be everyone's favourite by manipulating gossips and bitching about other friends....and I'm like "bro, get a life". The person whom I trusted the most in the circle is trying to sideline me by villainising me in front of other friends...idk what's her obsession with me that she wants to be my sole friend. Well, I have decided to cut these toxic people off my life. Roaming around the campus alone is way better than being surrounded by people you don't even trust. Mental peace over everything.

I left my friends 6 years ago and best decision of my life, in the end money is everything and if you feel that by staying with them you are becoming stupid then don't stay, always try to upgrade your friend circle to more smarter people but if they are bad at heart then its no use, having enemies is better than having two faced friends, to have even 2 good friends after age of 30 is considered a miracle in todays fast paced life

Hi, toxicity anywhere must not be taken lightly especially if it’s having a serious effect on one’s mental well being. What you are at present going through has happened to me too. In my case the delayed replies to messages, jealousy amongst group members towards other person’s achievements, lack of initiatives undertaken to even call regularly were the common aspects. Additionally creation of groups with groups by creating different WhatsApp groups amongst different members of the groups was also quite prevalent. I tried to keep my group’s unity intact but it was taking a toll on me, it felt like I was the only one who wanted their attention and friendship and those so called group members didn’t even care. It has been nearly 2 years since I last met most of them and I had never felt better, worked on developing my skills in every aspect of law be it research, reading the heavy books thoroughly, writing articles and research papers, practiced my favourite sports and worked out a lot. At the end of the day it’s oneself that matters and not what others think about you, the decision you take now is completely yours to take and it shouldn’t be influenced by what I have typed rn or what anyone types subsequently, we can only guide you. So here’s my advice/guidance: If your group members aren’t taking any initiative to maintain the friendship that existed at some point of time and then just focus on your personal development , get a good job, nice house, car etc and ignore them , don’t block them but start ignoring their calls.

Hi! This is not a law related posted and because I’m still midway on finalising a therapist just wanted to ask a group of larger audience this.

Have you guys ever started to feel that you are getting over a friend. Not necessarily that they did something wrong or did something substantially wrong but just that you don’t no longer feel that you operate in the same zone (for good or for bad). Over the past year I am having the clinching need to replace my entire friend circle which would invariably have me be alone for quite some time. I just don’t feel that I enjoy with my friends anymore or anyone for that matter. Their juvenile acts don’t make it better (like being an hour late to places, not replying on time even if it is to say no, stupid excuses to skip each others milestones, having no zeal to learn what their friends are doing). I don’t know it they can help it because this seems to be their genuine personality. Regardless crux being that there is disassociation. How to be okay with being alone than being in a social circle that I absolutely don’t enjoy.
