Good call friend, good luck. I have a friend in the IAS, he's already making 5CPA within 4 years of starting. Why slog at a law firm for 7-8 years, to pull yourself up to 80LPA.

In IAS you can make even 10CPA in the beginning years itself. Since OP has written that he wishes to join foreign service, i doubt he will make such an amount. I’ve heard there’s little to no scope of corruption in IFS, at least for the first couple of decades.

Better yet, why publish this thread at all? It’s entirely pointless. People seriously preparing for UPSC will barely have time to talk about it on some anonymous site. The exam is unpredictable even on the best of days.
