Guys, which career trajectory is better? IAS or law firm partnership track? In terms of income (all sources), quality of life, material well being etc.
But i bet you must be making shit load of money. Would definitely be driving a German and owning a big house. An IAS can't make as much money as you, atleast not by honest means.
Civil servants are overrated. These days many power seekers and mediocre students are in IAS with their inflated ego . The system is too opaque. Power over lessor known own citizens ?
ias is better in terms of everything money and other benifits in begning it might be less but extra benefits like big bungalow, guards, big office,by government further high respect. Power are various like you act as District collector and also executive magistrate even can order for arrest. Quality of life is good although also dependent upon place of posting. Also in some time promotion would make you cabinet secretary and seceratry at state/centre govt
even ias can under its power arrest partner or seize their property. Further ias has more power than anyone partners are just corp slaves exploiting their junior associates
Wired comparison.
It's like a question asking best job. CEO vs Prime Minister?
Partner can't get 1/10th of recognition or power than a civil servant gets.
