I am a Delhi-based in-house counsel (6 months wk-exp) and was recently tasked with identifying a reasonable, yet capable counsel for arbitration in a 50L contract breach claim. My company isn't liable (or the primary party) and is being actively pursued/ harassed in this case - hence, we must contest liability and succeed. In what range should lawyers charge for a case like this? I have numbers that are all over the place and I am confused. Pls help!

reply That's the market rate. Try singularity legal, pioneer legal or SPN. They give good deals

reply This is largely correct - also depends on the complexity and volume (which are more important criteria than the claim amount). Go with the lawyer that has examined documents first and then quoted.
