Hi.

So this is actually a query that will ring the bell for many people on this platform. There are now significantly less opportunities for freshers in the market, including the legal profession. Be it corporate, litigation, consulting, in-house and others, all of it majorly require a person to have prior experience for exploring job options.

What then is left with freshers mostly is to do internships even after graduation. Which isn't bad, but consider a person doing internships for 8 months to one year after graduation. Now whether these internships will actually hold value in future employment opportunities considering they are not counted as PQE?

I am of the opinion that, reputed internships where a person would be able to reflect in CV that he/she gained experience, does create a favourable situation for a candidate in scenarios where an employer highlights more than 1 year PQE as a prerequisite to apply.

But this is becoming very whimsical. Any thoughts?
They will be considered pqe for assessment internships surely in that practice area. Reach out to partners after this.
