Don't assume it to be effective just because it was notified in the gazette. The Codes themselves say that they will be effective from such date as notified by the CG. The notification triggering that clause is yet to come.

While one or two provision of some labour codes have been notified to be effective, they mainly relate to registration of unorganized/ gig workers to be able to claim benefits from the codes. Nothing on the regulation bit is effective yet.
