How hard/easy is it to do a lateral shift in a mid-sized or a Tier-1 firm, and what is the minimum period of PQE before the mentioned firm considers lateral hiring?
(p.s I am doing projects and infra with a boutique firm).
It's very team and work specific - I'm currently in the process of doing a lateral shift and getting interviews hasn't been difficult as such. Everywhere I've applied, they've asked for 2-3 PQE. I'm sure someone more senior has better insight :)
From what I know it generally starts at 2 PQE. Rest, do some research. Loads of openings keep getting advertised on LinkedIn through recruiters etc. Follow those for your specific practice area like the other person mentioned above.
