In the past 10 days, the India Today-CVoter poll, the Times Now-ETG poll and the India TV-CNX poll have all predicted a comfortable majority for Modi. Some of these polls are even being generous to the opposition and assuming that conflicting parties within the INDIA alliance, such as the TMC and the CPIM, will contest together, which we know will not be the case. So, it's looking pretty good for Modi. Assuming the trend holds, what will this mean for the economy, law firms and law schools? I think these will be some key questions:

1. Will Adani and Ambani stocks boom? Will law firms advising them and people investing in them benefit the most?

2. Will more investment be pumped into Gujarat and will other law firms open offices there?

3. Will legal sector liberalisation and foreign law firm entry go ahead? Or could CAM-Adani exercise a veto?

4. Will NLUs in BJP states, especially GNLU and NLU Prayagraj, receive more funding?
