Sad times. I think People from Older batches should start mass retirements for newer lot to find its place. This is the only solution, you have earned enough money, now it is time for Bo2025.
Why did you go for an MBA after grad, any reasoning?
Trilegal maybe, CAM is not. Expansion anyway is being done by lateral hiring and not fresher hiring
Bumping this up, in light of the positive economic picture in 2024.
Okay that's comforting, I have internships at SAM, INDUS. Not counting on sam capital marks tho cuz it's only 2 weeks.
We are already thinking about 2026 batch and you are still at 2025

Keep up
no. ex-tier 2/3 NLU, presently at FMS, bleak job market here all the way

The freeze won't be absolute, so if you intern well and are lucky, then you can land an offer even before that. Godspeed!
So like if there's a freeze till 2025, I can still do call backs consistently like 4 5 times and then aim for a ppo
No, on the contrary, if the firms are going to hire at all, then they are only going to go for the PPO model and take interns whom they can test over a period of time.
I am not Kian but I can assure you that your IP address's privacy is being maintained to the fullest extent!
thanks tho, this moderation speed is unprecedented. @kian are you sure tho that IP privacy is maintained.
The factor is academics is always implied. You gotta bag good grades anyway else the law firms won’t appreciate your lack of consistency in academics.
Thank you, but curious why you didn't mention academics. Any specific reason why?
Champ be hopeful! If you are at a tier-1 then intern rigorously and publish to your fullest potential. No one can stop you from getting a job. Times have becomes tougher and murkier but you will sail through :)
So interning in the next one year is pointless is what you are saying? ( I am from the batch of 2026 of a Tier 1 NLU)
Most firms are following a similar policy right now.
Not very promising. Only the absolute best may expect to get placed.

We have a hiring freeze till the last quarter of 2025. We will focus on lateral hires more, but it still depends on the work we are getting.
Sadly worse than 2024 Batch, Don't expect Tier 1 jobs if you don't have contacts or you aren't in top 10 of a Top 5 NLUs.
I don't think it will improve that much, but 2026 could see mass hiring again
Batch 2024 was extremely unfortunate in terms of placements, what is your prediction about the batch of 2025? What sectors/practices might see active hiring?
