I am a 3rd year student. I had previously wanted to build a career in Gen Corp and M&A but now realise that litigation and arbitration interest me more. My batchmates are ahead of me when it comes to CV building for disputes (internships, subject area specific publications, etc.). What can I do to offset this? How can I build a CV for getting placed in a disputes team at a Tier-1 firm ahead of my batchmates?

How do people even build a CV in a practice by the 3rd year is beyond me. I didn't gave a single thing apart from awful grades till the 4rth year.
