Context: Poor 2024 recruitments and continued opposition of SILF to entry of foreign law firms.

It also seems that the Modi government has hit the brakes on liberalisation after saying it would happen. I just hope Adani isn’t pulling the strings.
When defence sectors of India can be opened up,why not legal sector? Its but obvious SILF,Adani,CAM,SAM,AZB and all of SILFs members firms have already pulled the strings. But luck for you, there's a way out.You see 2024 elections are coming and Modi government wants a third term.So if this time they actually open up the legal sector and make foreign law firms welcome, the same way its done for manufacturing sectors, then they will get many young lawyers vote and win.
Not really! The number of lawyers who would get benefitted by the influx of foreign law firms are but a fraction of the legal community. Most of the lawyers don't even dream of getting into a good corp law firms. They are more afraid of foreign law firms taking away their livelihood.
