Dear LI batch of 2024, please have hope. I am seeing a lot of threads here about the lack of placement for day zero/day one. PLEASE HAVE HOPE. Keep applying to firms and cold emailing. But do not ever use contacts, they will not help you at all at this stage and will im fact only hinder growth as you will be viewed as incompetent.

The economy, the job market or these law firms do not operate on hope. Having hope is always good. But one must keep their eyes open and prepare for the worst as well when things appear to go downhill. Those who will acknowledge the recession first, will be in a better position to explore other things or navigate their options. All the best everyone.
