If you donβt have contacts, reach out to your Alumni. If youβre from any decent (slightly above average) law school, Iβm sure youβll have a decent alumni base that can be immensely helpful. Of course nobody is going to just hand out an internship solely on that ground but they are more likely to respond and guide you.
Also, do ensure that you have a good CV to go with the practice area youβre applying for. This should be enough for the starters.
FYI, some people sell internships for 4k-5k in the garb of some journals. Buy it if you're not able to get in through the regular ways. In the end, nobody gonna ask how you got the internship. But getting your foot in the door is the first step.
