I am doing a socio project on arranged marriages and was trawling some sites. To my horror, I saw a few (though not many) NLU grads advertising there (tier 2 and 3, but NLUs nevertheless). First of all, it's shocking that NLU grads are even posting on matrimonial sites, even if they be tier 2 and 3. Being among the cream of Indian colleges and soon-to-be among the top 1% earners (including tier 2/tier 3 NLUs) they can easily find a match (both guys and girls). But not only are they advertising but also saying regressive/communal things like no manglik, only Sunni Muslim boy wanted, must be vegetarian etc..... What's this??? If at all they wish to advertise, shouldn't they just say 28/cis-girl/hetero/Mumbai/RMLNU who likes K-Pop/cats and dogs/cooking/ seeks 28-34/cis-boy/hetero/Mumbai/NLU match from any community?
