I am from a Tier-3 NLU and am applying for BCL at Oxford this year. My cumulative GPA lands me around 72-73%. However, I have a batch rank of 1.
Now, the problem is that BCL requires a first-class hons degree in UG which would translate to 75% for other universities and 65% for "prestigious universities".
Could you please help me by elaborating on whether my Batch Rank 1 would help me get over this requirement and whether a 3rd Tier NLU would be considered as a 'prestigious university'?
A) Your batch rank 1 will be considered an amazing addition after all and it will majorly help you in applying for BCL
B) Institution matters to a certain extent. However Tier-3 NLUs are not considered prestigious. Also do check if anyone of your alumni has qualified for this particular course or not!
