Hello, all 58 students who are listed for BSC llb course at NUJS PLEASE LISTEN. This advise is from someone who has studied at NUJS for 3 years now and trust me this course is in its baby steps. Do no come to nujs with the assumption that you will get the creme de la corp jobs that everyone was telling you to expect. YOU WILL LITERALLY BE SPECIALISING IN FORENSICS. So like CID stuff rather than SUITS stuff. You will be accomodated in shoddy campuses outside Main NUJS campus with BSNL govt ppl commuting right in front of your hostels. NUJS IS LITERALLY RUNNING THIS COURSE TO PRINT MONEY (4L?!?!?!?!?) PLEASE DONT FALL INTO THIS TRAP. Donโt run for the NUJS tag, take a drop instead and save your career. Please share this to all relevant students ASAP AND IMP.

Mod, this is nothing but an attempt to discredit the course during the admission process so that lower ranked people can get in. I urge you to mark this contested and trollish. Some BA LLB students have been doing this in frustration and from insecurity. To point out some of the lies here, the only forensic science courses that will be taught in the programme will be those in place of the social science papers like Sociology, Political Science, Economics etc. The law papers are going to remain the same. As for campus, the classrooms for this course are actually much better and newer in quality compared to the main campus, since they have been designed and built in the last two months. I have seen those. Same goes for the hostel, which is actually more spacious than the current hostels. Sure the buildings belong to BSNL, but so what? NUJS first batch studied for three years in the state forest department building, didn't harm them any. Plus this batch is going to have access to main campus and its resources, including library and databases, in addition to a mess of their own, hostel buildings of their own. Further, the classes will be shifted to the main campus after two years once the vertical extension of the main academic building is finished.
First, corporate law jobs depend on institutional tag and relative class rank it does not depend on the pass course subjects, so it does not matter whether you study sociology or ballistics, law firm work will deal with corp law, DD, PE etc.
Second, the main law subjects will be taught by the same faculty members, so unlike in Jindal where you have different grades of teachers teaching different grades of students, at NUJS all LLB students will be treated equally
Finally, NUJS has the first mover advantage in the NLU space on offering an innovative pass course which deals with forensic in great depth, while it will be of little use in corp jobs (except tangentially for some of the document verification modules) so is history, political science etc in the context of corp jobs.
It seems that the post is by a disgruntled NLUD student who wants to troll NUJS. The entire batch will be brought into the main campus in two years and there will a state of the art lab (costing 10+ crore), it is being constructed in the main campus. A new hostel block is also on the anvil, however, due to land acquisition issues it is facing a longer delay. Overall, the forensic BSc LLB Hons at NUJS is an excellent course and will have a cut off of <400 in CLAT gen by next year, this year it went only upto low 600.
NUJS is actually a sinking ship and there's no doubt about it. Our infrastructure is terrible, faculty is worse and the administration actually wants to introduce a BSc LLB course. Students in that course will be housed in a building where 2 floors have been rented from BSNL, 7-9kms away from the main campus. They've been charged 4L per annum as fees. Overall the condition is terrible.
One of the junior students pointed this out and sent a message on WhatsApp, only for the Vice Chancellor to initiate Disciplinary Proceedings against him, for what was a well-intentioned and politely worded message. Complete violation of any semblance of free speech and expression.
This is actually a police state. It's time for this VC and admin to go.
This is not free speech but complete lies. Including many things that your comment includes. You don't have any idea about what quality education means and are driven by an agenda to badmouth others. That message was a horrible one, where the student was made a scapegoat to do the dirty work of others. He actually โฎโฎโฎ, which is a breach of privacy. People like you and him are the biggest problems of NUJS, insiders who are parasites contributing nothing and bad-mouthing everything. The quality of that message was also appalling, full of mistakes and seemed to be written by a barely literate individual. If the infra is bad and the faculty are worse, then what does that make you, who is presumably a product of that place? As for the new campus, it's actually better than the existing hostels and classrooms. You are spewing all this garbage without ever having been to it. The buildings are actually a stone's throw away from one of the biggest malls of the city and surrounded with other amenities. It's barely 4 km away from the old campus and plenty of transportation facilities are available. Moreover, this is just for two years while the additional floors are being built, after which all students will be brought back to the main campus. What's wrong with the buildings being owned by BSNL? The first three batches started studying at humbler places and they have all done more than you ever can imagine in your life. Stop trolling and do useful with your life.
Legally India should stop giving platform to those who badmouth Hon'ble VC Prof Dr NK Chakrabarti and NUJS anonymously. This VC is trying very hard to undo all damage done in Bhat-Talukdar era. SJA โฎโฎโฎ seems hand in glove with conspirators who defame NUJS and this was visible during the GB meeting where the VC was not given due respect
True, the current SJA is politically aligned with students who are empty vessels and have no knowledge about things. The SJA defamed the VC in front of the entire student body and the student body was shamelessly hooting and clapping, in enjoyment of the drama. The current SJA wants this college to sink to unprecedented depths and the โฎโฎโฎ is not listening to those people who are actually against what he is doing. The courses of action of the current SJA are highly non-democratic where they neither listen to the student body. The โฎโฎโฎ โฎโฎโฎ was seen leaving the GB meeting in between as a form of dissent towards the SJA's act of tarnishing the image of the VC. The SJA is picking unnecessary fights with the VC which will only do bad to the students in the long run, and it is all because some certain person of the SJA who is empowered to take decisions takes them on their own accord without any fruitful discussion whatsoever.
Please do not go by this thread. It has got increasingly clear that the student body has an agenda against the VC and the admin. Because the SJA has no interest in academic reforms, they have found a way to stay relevant by bashing the new course. The student body is unaware of the fact that almost all good law schools have started different courses recently (eg., 3 year LLB at NLS, IPM at NALSAR, BSc LLB at NLIU etc.). While the present VC is doing everything possible to make college a centre of excellence in criminology, all that the student body cares about is pleasing a certain segment of the GB (which btw; never elected them).

The gall to assume that this new course will be treated at the same level as the ba LLB course is hilarious if anything.
This is a doomed course right from its inception.
First, corporate law jobs depend on institutional tag and relative class rank it does not depend on the pass course subjects, so it does not matter whether you study sociology or ballistics, law firm work will deal with corp law, DD, PE etc.
