Working at a Big 7 and getting a good pay cheque. Need to move up in life, get some class, keep up with my fellow associates when they talk and show off during lunch breaks, impress girls etc. Tks.
They are called 5 star hotels, not restaurants. Work on your language and terminology
You are falling into the trap of lifestyle creep. Be careful.

Going to a fancy restaurant doesn't make you classy.

Focus on self improvement. Work on improving your grooming, come to work with well tailored and clean clothes. Be well read and talk in a pleasing manner. There are some things which you need to do to project confidence and charm.

Just spending money at a restaurant doesn't make you classy. These are one shot expenditures. Go there if you are interested in having an interesting culinary experience. But don't go there just to impress other people.

At the end of the day, people are impressed by people who project confidence.

Think about what your real goals are, and don't lose your way by trying to just impress randos at work.
Order risotto in place of dal khichadi. Sweet potato fritters in place of kanda bhaji. Tahini in place of dahi. So on.
Research it online, look for reviews. Remember things people say around the office. Start with places that are hipster classy a little further off so you don't run into people you know. Use this to get over your insecurities and become confident. The most classy people are warm and friendly with waitstaff and they tip well. Once you get used to the water, the ordering, thanking and so on, you can move closer. To be truly impressive, it's not about dining in the place. It's about having the warmth and manner that will mean that the staff recognise you, greet you and are extra helpful. That's what a date or a client worth their salt will notice.
To impress your client, first take him to an Udipi hotel and order a sushi platter, calamari fritti, shawarma salad and a brownie fudge sundae. Use a fake accent and make sure that your order is audible to those sitting around you. Notice all the attention that you get and the surprised look on the waiter's face. Chances are that the waiter will not understand,, so repeat the order slowly, and this time a bit louder If he still does not understand, kick up a fuss and storm out of the hotel with the client in tow.

Then, take him to a 5 star hotel. Here, order thatte idli, benne dosa and maddur vada. Chances are that you will get the same look on the waiter's face as you did at the Udipi hotel. Storm out of the hotel once again, take you client back to office and order club sandwich using the swiggy app.

Doing this, you would not only have saved big money, but would have mighty impressed the client as well.
