I always wanted to work in firms, money being the reason (I don’t come from a financially sound family), but couldn’t manage to get a job at any law firm. Just got done with my law school and starting at a chambers with 18k salary. I wish to move to a firm in near future? Do law firms hire people who come from chambers with 6 months experience?
Practical advise, stick around for at least a year in your chamber. Firms, especially are always looking to hire at around 1-2 PQE, because its around that phase that a lot of campus hires decide that the law firm life is not what they are looking for, and teams have spaces to fill.
Also, where do these campus hires go after a year or two?
