When is it going to get officially announced? I hope no protest is carried out by students of CNLU unlike what they did during appointment of former NUJS VC Prof Ishwara Bhatt.
That protest was internally generated by vested interests. In fact, these vested interests did not want anyone to join there as Vice Chancellor; otherwise there were two other names also in the panel of candidates and anyone of them could be appointed as Vice Chancellor.
Great for CNLU but bad for Faizan to join a low-ranked NLU in India's most economically and socially backward state. But I guess he will just use it as a temporary parking space before leaving for a better NLU. I can't see any NLU in a BJP state appointing him, so he can target NLUJ, NUJS, NUALS etc.
How was the tenure of outgoing VC Mridula Mishra? Was it a successful one or full of turmoil? If someone could give a detailed account of that, it'd be better.

In fact, other two in panel were Prof Kamal Jeet Singh from Cuttack and Prof Anil Variath, NLU, Mumbai.
