Please tell how will a teir 1 firm react if a student internship application comes infront of them if -

1. A 3rd year student got 90 percent marks in 10th and 12th and is also having good cgpa like - 7.50/8.00 and have publications also but have no teir 2 internship experience.

2. A 3rd year student got 60 percent marks in 10th and 12th and is also having cgpa like - 6.80/8.00 and have publications also but having teir 2 internship experience.

( Does class 12th marks will make difference)
10th and 12th? hahahahahaha, no one even bothers to check that.................
The HR will summarily reject your application.

Reasons:-

1. Tier 1 Firms do not retain 3rd year interns, unless through the placement committee or contacts, where HR application is not the way to go anyway.

2. Teir(sic) 1 Firms place a lot of emphasis on stellar English speaking and writing (most important, non negotiable). With the spelling errors you made in this short post, no law office will even consider forwarding the mail to the concerned recruiter.

3. Tier 1 Firms put a lot of emphasis on the college, which you have not mentioned. The HR usually have too many applications to even respond asking for the name (some do occasionally if everything else is stellar). Understand the numbers- there is usually just ONE HR MEMBER who deals with 1000 applications every few hours, and the backlog of the weekends where most students send in applications. Be thankful, some HRs actually don't just shortlist based on ranks.
