From Indian Express and The Print. Even a respected Dalit activist has accepted that reservation is flawed and we need to give more importance to merit. So can pro-reservation people on LI please stop shouting down critics of reservation? It's high time we have a fairer system. This should mean:
- If you benefited from reservations, your children should not get the same benefit
- Reduce reservation to 10% from the present 50%
- No reservation in government jobs AND education. Has to be only one of the two.
- Have reservation only for Dalits. Scrap OBC reservation, which is currently benefiting only powerful castes like Yadavs, Jats and Gujjars.

The first point is enough to remove reservation but no govt will do it cuz they will lose the majority obc/sc/st votes.
General category are a minority and they dont have political power. Majority of the leading politicians including modi and many state cms are themselves from obc community so they wont want to remove the reservation.
