The most important court case of the decade and will now be taught and debated in our law schools too. But the big question to ask is whether India should follow suit and have only income-based quotas and not caste-based quotas?
BREAKING: SCOTUS decision nullifying affirmative action can be subverted easily!

Just watching CNN now. Apparently a student can still write an SOP discussing their experiences being black. Then this means โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ colleges can easily subvert the ruling!
Horrible and partisan judgement. Even for the supporters of the SCOTUS majority opinion, this ruling does not change the casteist nature of the Indian society. Reservations are here, and here to stay. Savarnas, deal with it after being privileged for thousands of years.
Agree with you 100%. Punishing one's for the supposed sins of one's ancestors thousands of years ago is just ridiculous. Those downvoting your comment have no sense of logic.
Within the last couple of weeks, dalit people in MP have been forced to get peed on, eat human waste and face similar atrocities in the hands of upper caste men including BJP leaders. Thousands of years ago? It's still happening every day.
We must either stop all reservation in India, or just have reservation on the basis of economic status. No caste reservation.
