On top of all this, the bosses in general are horrible. The work culture there is extremely toxic and I think they take pride in their "hustler culture" which is just yelling at people. There have been multiple instances in one of their more infamous teams, where all the seniors are just a**h*les. Whenever things have been escalated to the higher-ups, no one has batted an eye. Other than that, a few of them are also incompetent. Steer clear of this firm for your own good.
Its 12+2l but the working hours are crazy. Its a good springboard to jump shift to tier 1s but most of the chaps here are unable to survive the place due to obvious reasons. C&M, Gaggar and Sarvada seem like the better alternatives thereof. And for heaven's sake DO NOT DREAM to make it to Trilegal's anti-trust team, it might seem like the endgame for competition lawyers because of the pay but insiders know how hellish it feels to work there. This is true. However, for a fresher, it is important to get that tag off one's own self, for which P&A is still a good choice. After one year there, the person can easily shift to T1 firms. Not every place will give a fresher an opportunity otherwise unless through campus placement.

Kid, take some advice: Mr. Pathak was a very reputable name back in his day. Given its payscale, it used to be among our first few choices back in the first half of 2010s.
Today, that firm has not had any major wins in a long time — look at news portals, they only ever mention them when they lose matters for Amazon. They've lost a lot of clientele, and Mr. Pathak has turned from a charismatic leader to someone who people wouldn't recognise, unless they're specifically an old timer in competition law.
None of the firm's other partners have really ever made their name in anything much yet - their street cred isn't great, and they're not highly ranked anywhere either. This is not to take away from the fact that some genuinely nice & brilliant people work there, but merely acknowledge that firms that are solely governed by an old person not in their prime — are not a safe bet for starting your career. If Rajiv Luthra's demise has hurt a T1 firm that badly, you should practically imagine the risks that come with joining here.
