Are Associates at T1 firms ever given the opportunity to travel abroad for work? For example, if there is an arbitration seated in Hong Kong or negotiations in London, do associates also travel for this? If yes, how frequent is this and which practice areas is this common in?

Rarely, I haven't seen anyone except partners going abroad for any kind of work.

AZB SA here. Have been travelling internationally for negotiations twice a year on average since covid ended.

As far I know KCo, Tri, CAM associates get alot of international opportunities
