By now, the big news coming out of the NIRF rankings 2023 has been the dominance of NLS at the top, NLUD just edging ahead of NALSAR, NUJS maintaining its stranglehold on the next position, and GNLU who looked so good in all the other factors suffered a huge drop in its public perception ranking.

This huge drop in the public perception aspect to about 52 out of 100 can be solely attributed to this highly toxic and infamous batch of '24 batch, who have singularly managed to do a feat which no other batch of any NLU could ever do- singularly pull down the perception rating of the entire University, as the massive infighting and frequent fights of the batchmates within the batch spilled over into various Social Media handles. Last year also this batch was held responsible for the public perception getting affected, however with the batch reaching new lows every day the infightings inside the batch become much more pronounced and prominent. With several students reporting high anxiety and tension (u can go through previous LI threads to verify this, and if not I have privately as a senior talked to several of them and can confirm that some students are feeling extreme anxiety by staying in the batch).

What's our say GNLUites? Because personally there is no other reason for the perception to being so badly affected. Even colleges lower than us have a big lead in the public perception rating.
Similarly how Nujs has only a score of 50. Actually all India wise , they are very less known
Because the rating isn't about public perception. Re-read the methodology once again.
GNLU still has a better perception score than NUJS. Perception score in itself is pretty fraudulent, the way symbiosis was given a score of 100 last year, and it being a 65 this time.

The sooner nirf gets rid of the perception score the better it will be and it will also increase the legitimacy of these rankings.
Bro we would have ready your analysis, but too bad NIRF is bogus and no one in their right mind can take it seriously, for any calculation whatsoever.
Bro, just get over the fact that gnlu is nothing but a big PR project. Even lower tier nlus or private universities/colleges would fare much better with the amount of funding and PR that you guys are getting. Honestly it's actually embarrassing that students are actually making a case for getting a higher ranking in a contest which even the winners know is rigged.
