Awful life, bad place, below average placements and facilities- go there to ruin your life. Why would anyone go to a CNLU or a TNLU? Placement Statistics- there are none.
Take a drop year instead and try for top 4-5 NLUs or SLS Pune.
Guess sir/ma'am is from NUALS. They have this insane attitude to bash newer NLU's while they glorify themselves. Might have forgotten their institution is 20 years old.
How are you claiming that there are no placement Statistics when TNNLU grads have been placed at CAM, SAM, Trilegal, Khaitan, AZB, Chandhiok & Mahajan, Tatva Legal, King Stub & Kasiva, Samvad partners etc. The list goes on. There are alums who have cleared upsc and other govt exams. Sad to note that there is a heavy perception issue just because the NLU is in Tamil Nadu.
Ok sir which NLU has officially released their placement results apart from NUJS in recent years? Have you come across any such releases by other developing NLU's like NLU-O? Sorry your prejudiced mindset to bash a university wouldn't count as well.
You are comparing a progressing NLU that is located in the second most developed state in India, which gets regular grants from the Govt (well documented by Bar & Bench) with an NLU located in Orissa, that had to resort to opening a 3 year llb course for funds. Mind you, it's not even an nlsiu before you take that precedent.
And again coming to placement reports, TNNLU has a better placement record for it's graduating students with tier 1 firms (batch of 2022 with a similar batch strength) for which you have to go a simple LinkedIn search.
TNNLU batch of 2022 had 11 trilegal campus offers, which is more than the 7 tier 1 offer at NLU-O as shown in the list (Khaitan & trilegal). The rest are tier 2 and tier 3 firms. TNNLU batch of 2022 got offers from SAM, AZB, PSL, LKS amongst others, out of the above campus offers. This is seperate from the others who have joined leading Litigation chambers in Madras HC and Delhi.
But no, you only want to harp on the inefficiency of a public law University to publish placement records to propagate your blind hate and spread a false narrative that graduates are coming out as jobless.
Please don't use your blind hate to mislead young aspirants, a blind hate which can easily be overturned by a LinkedIn search.
Linkedin search isn't reliable. If university can't publish placement data, why can't the students? Nobody should rely upon anything which is not officially published with accountability. How will LinkedIn show whether a job is the result of the student hustling, or a day zero offer?
Hi! I see a lot of useless comments here. Lemme try and help you.
1. The campus is not the greatest, its not the worse either. You can expect what any NLU can provide.
2. There are good and bad faculty like any university in India, depends on how you work and score
3. Moots and ADR are encouraged, the clubs are very much active and are very welcoming to anyone who is interested and will help you as much as they can
4. Pretty good alumni base
5. Placements depend on your hard work and CV like in any other university. TNNLU students have been placed in good firms and are in a good position
6. The IPC also works really hard to get you internships, you've got to work equally hard tho
7. The people are nice
8. Campus is pretty isolated from the city but has good scenery
9. We do have good DJ parties
10. The admin is pretty shit but people do try and get most of them fixed.
Can you name some of your good faculty with decent publication record? All top NLUs have at least some of those.
About alumni base, do they help during day zero? Have you released any recruitment stats officially lately to prove that?
Hard work and CV are important, but NLUs are supposed to bring many more opportunities to any student. Do you have records of moot wins, exchange programmes, international conferences, research output from the university?
Respond to these if you want to give the proper picture to any aspirant.
I will be joining tnnlu , if I give my 101% can I secure a tier 1 job?
And what are the placement statistics there?

Yes. Several of them are working in Tier I Law Firms, Universities.
A few have cleared Judicial Services, Civil Services. A few have read LLM from Cambridge, LSE, Stockholm, etc.
The Office of Career Services is active. The University Library is good.

The picture at TNNLU does seems to be decent considering this is a bonafide post. Can equate TNNLU to the range of NLU-O and NUALS.
