This is good. Only a small percentage of people in India use credit cards. The haves should be taxed more to shift more resources to the have-nots. If one can spend lakhs in shopping via credit cards on the latest fashionable goods, then they should have no problem in paying the tax on it. The only thing that should be considered carefully is to ensure that this tax revenue is being used to create more schools, hospitals, infra, job opportunities etc. I side with the government in this. Those who don't, I dub thee 'anti-national'!
Typical idiotic socialist argument. ... Dude, if I earn well, it's my right to use it as I want and where I want. The government should instead tax rich farmers and rich roadside vendors, many of whom earn in crores while paying no tax and leeching on free electricity. Also, most black money is in the pockets of politicians and bureaucrats, in the form of cash, gold and real estate. Why is the govt not going after them?
