Guys, are TMT teams at tier-1 and tier-2 firms hiring at the moment? Considering my day zero is in August, will having TMT experience in my CV help? Or should I remove it in favour of corp experience?
Most tier 1 TMT firms don't take through day zero. Infact firms like Trilegal cleared to our day zero committee that they will hire for all teams except TMT. Not sure about Induslaw, Khaitan, SAM who also have good tech teams. If you are really into TMT work, then go do some internships in TMT, where you can ask for PPOs. Or just confirm with the firm's while your dayZ comm approaches firms. If you're just looking for any dayZ job, then see if you have enough corpy internships in your CV. Because recruiting partners who come to colleges are mostly GC partners who don't have in-depth knowledge of TMT. I'm saying that your TMT skills/knowledge might not get appreciated that much and they would rely on your old gen corp internships for interview. So take a decisive step.
