2nd year law student here at a tier-1 , will intern with one of the above firms mentioned above. But in general what is the ppo policy of theirs for a 3rd/4th year student looking for it

PLEASE DONβT TROLL BY SAYING βDaddyβs contactβ - I know contacts certainly help but I have seen threads and even on LinkedIn as well that a 3rd/4th year PPO for a meritorious student is possible .
Focus on learning as much as possible. Getting a PPO in 3rd year is next to impossible as firms usually don't hire 2-3yrs ahead of the date of joining. Polish your skills and use them to get a PPO in 4th year!
Is this a trend but different people in different threads keep on giving varied advice. There was a OG post on this where folks from industry have said that this actually plausible.
