Why have other NLUs failed to achieve this? Why have they not achieved success beyond law firm partnerships?
It's sort of like asking why NLS is behind Delhi University or GLC in judgeships, senior advocates, MLAs and professors...
Also, many other NLUs have got a few in most of these categories...
An NLS student/grad's opportunities are so limitless in corp firms that he need not work to get an offer. So he finds himself free to explore other pastures, and devote a lot more thinking and time, and those in the pasture are more willing to entertain his exploration too. This is not novel - students from top IITs, or for that matter, Ivy leauge or Oxbridge unis have similar privilege, and do similar things.
Such questions are downright stupid, a little usage of your brain and one can get the answer but no....intrad you wanna enter a ego battle on LI.
- How many Jessup wins?
- How many TIME 100 Power List mentions and Jefferson Medal winners?
- How many Infosys Prize winners?
- How many HC judges?
- How many Senior Advocates?
- How many Advocate General appointments?
And don't just cite age as the reason, as some of the people above graduated when other NLUs were very much in existence.
