This is how “star” AAP candidate and NLSIU alum Brijesh Kalappa fared in the Karnataka election…

Chickpet Constituency:

1. BJP (57K+ votes) : Winner

2. Cong (45K+ votes)

3. Independent (20K+ votes)

4. JDS (1.5K+ votes)

5. NOTA (1.2K+ votes)

6. AAP (Brijesh Kalappa): 595 votes 😂

Just a few days ago, this man was claiming that the Congress made a big mistake by not giving him a ticket and that’s why he quit and joined AAP. The English-language media was hyping him as the chief ministerial face of AAP and Rajdeep Sardesai was interviewing him and glamorising him.

Moral of the story: NLSIU/NLU background means jack shit to political parties and the electorate. Also, sitting in air-conditioned TV studios and speaking fluent English does not entitle you to a political ticket. Thus, NLSIU/NLU grads must shed their arrogance and do grassroots level work if they want a political ticket. They should fight political cases in trial courts, work in villages and slums etc. Instead, they just want fruits of power.

So now we have had two NLU alumni contest Vidhan Sabha elections, Brijesh Kalappa and Loknath Chatterjee from the BJP in Bengal. Both have fared badly, although Chatterjee did better than Kalappa at least.

A sobering lesson for NLU grads…
What a negative person you are.

This dude probably gave up a lucrative/ prosperous life style to get down into the gutter that is our political system and tried to make a change and instead of encouraging one of the very few educated candidates for giving a good try and potentially providing constructive feedback, you've taken this opportunity to shit on NLUs. A real representation of the internet if there was one.

Spend sometime introspecting on what kind of a person you are please.

PS: I'm not even remotely from an NLU.
LMAO. He did no such sacrifice! He is very much a practising lawyer. Same as other lawyer-politicians like Sibal, Singhvi etc.
Stupid person. Look at the electoral victory of NLSIU BALLB 2003 Ms. nayana. Do google
She was an Dalit + daughter of state minister so getting into NLS and poltics we're both cakewalks. She fought election in the same constituency where her parent had won for long, and had reservations to ease entry to any govt institution.
Good educated meritorious students don’t go into politics nowadays. And oh boy you people are everywhere. People giving clat again for good NLUs , NLU grads earning more than you , better exam results - everything bothers you. Stop blaming NLU and fix your grades
Nayana Jhawar won from Mudigere today but okay. You can continue your rant
Well fyi , a much bigger victory has been recorded by Ms Nayana Motamma from the Mudigere seat. And she was a NLSIU alum , so……. :)
Dude, not gonna engage in any hatemongering against NLSIU grads, but if you're in legal domain then what sort of research skills you got. Certainly, as someone coming from NLSIU, we can starkly see that why some sense of arrogance is justified when we come to people like you. So have this link shoved- https://www.nls.ac.in/news-events/nlsiu-alumna-ms-nayana-motamma-wins-legislative-assembly-seat-in-karnataka-elections-2023/

Hope it puts some ▮▮▮ on your vitriolic eyes.
NLS Alum Nayana Mottamma Jhawar (Batch of 2003) won from Mudigere constituency.

Do with this info what you like and enjoy your life as a keyboard warrior.
Ms Nayana Motamma got into NLSIU on SC/ST reservation. Her mom was a minister in the Congress Govt in Karnataka. Ms Motamma deserved the reservation seat as successive State and Central Govts since 1947 failed to uplift her family's social and economic status despite her mom embellishing the Minister's chair in the State Govt. Ms Motamm is a perfect case of the needy and the oppressed getting the benefits of the reservation policy.

The above paragraph is:

a) A work of fiction

b) Factually incorrect
