The issue with that team isn't the work culture, it is the lack of clientele, and therefore, the lack of hirings. Not enough business = no new openings for PPOs etc.

The team has categorically been mentioning to several interns that they are simply 'not looking to hire'.

The pay is the same as the rest of Saraf teams — so almost 16LPA (including variable) for an entry level, much lesser than AZB/CAM/SAM/KCO/S&R etc, all of which have actually functional competition law teams with reputation, business, and learning opportunities.

If you're any bit serious about competition law, even slightly lesser paying firms like P&A Law Offices (14LPA), Touchstone (15LPA), Indus (14LPA), Chandhiok, ELP, Axiom5 etc. are a much, much better option in every way.

Mr. Nanda is - respectfully - yet to handle a single contentious matter without a senior ▮▮▮. Because of its very nature, a newly minted partner should not ideally be your first mentor or entry into competition law, if you plan on staying in it.
I completely agree with the last part. Very important to have a good first boss. Makes and breaks careers.
