Were you also waiting for the BJP led states to declare the BBC docu tax free and encouraged to be watched, like they did Kashmir Files and Kerala Story?
100% SC will strike it down. But more glaring is the silence of "liberals" who accuse the Modi govt of stifling free speech. What about this then?
I think anyone with half a brain can tell this is basically false.

Oh wait..
Lallantop has done a report on the public reaction to the movie and theme in Kolkata. One can clearly see that the general people are supporting the movie and theme. So this is the real reason the movie was banned by the TMC. But IMO it's totally pointless. The BJP has a stable vote bank of Hindus who will never switch to the TMC, while the TMC has a stable vote bank of Muslims who will never switch to the BJP. So this movie makes no difference there. Where it could theoretically make a difference is in swaying non-BJP Hindu voters, who vote mainly with the Left and Congress, plus a few with the TMC. But this class of people is unlikely to be swayed by this movie. If the BJP wants to sway this vote, they need to get the ED and CBI to seriously investigate the corruption cases in Bengal. That his not happening and some of the corrupt TMC elements have actually defected to the BJP.

So, to sum up, the BJP needs to make anti-corruption its poll plank and follow up action with words, instead of promoting a Bollywood movie about Hindu-Muslim tensions.

SC hearing on the ban tomorrow. CJI will hear it. The SC will strike it down and Mamata knows it. Mamata will then tell her voters: "I tried to ban it, but SC struck it down". Just political tokenism,
Even if SC revokes the ban, no movie hall will be able to run the movie because of fear of TMC goons!
Lol, goons close to elections, especially after the recent violence.

You should a political strategist
